Nytt album ute den 8 september via BMG Records
Legendariska The Waterboys släpper sitt helt nya studioalbum Out Of All This Blue den 8 september. Bandet kontrakterades nyligen till BMG Records och detta är det första som ges ut i samarbete med dem.
Albumet som är producerat av Mike Scott och inspelat i Dublin och Tokyo, är deras mest utforskande hittills. 23 låtar som i vanlig The Waterboys-anda präglas av Mike Scotts skarpa texter uppmålade mot poplåtar, men som med spår av klassisk R&B, country, soul och funk samt en modern produktion inspirerad av hiphopens värderingar känns nyskapande. Stråk- och bluessektionerna har arrangerats av Trey Pollard från The Spacebomb Collective.
Mike Scott berättar: ”Out Of All This Blues är två tredjedelar kärlek och romantik; en tredjedel historier och betraktelser. Jag visste redan från början att jag ville göra ett dubbelalbum och som tur var fortsatte bara låtarna att komma. I popens färger dessutom.”
