ARABIAN BUSINESS: Dubai will stage a seven-day interactive exhibition in Beijing in May in a bid to boost its trade with China. Ties between China and the UAE continue to grow, driven partly by Dubai’s 200,000-strong Chinese community as well as the surge in trade which soared by 27 percent, moving China ahead of India to become the emirate’s number one trade partner. Taking place from 8-15 May, the exhibition will bring to life Dubai’s transformation from a humble fishing village just over 40 years ago into a global city of opportunity. The event is a Falcon and Associates initiative in partnership with Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Dubai Expo 2020, Emirates Airline, Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Jumeirah Group and Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
