The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) announced today that it is receiving
applications for the license to become an operator of holiday homes. The announcement follows the December 2013 issuance of Decree No.41 of 2013, concerning the regulation of the ‘Holiday Homes Market’, by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. From 15th June 2014, the operating of residential properties for use as holiday homes will be restricted to licensed operators.SEE THE PRESS RELEASE:
Dubai Tourism or DTCM is the principal authority for the planning, supervision, development and marketing of Dubai’s tourism sector; markets and promotes the Emirate’s commerce sector; and is responsible for the licensing and classification of all tourism services, including hotels, tour operators and travel agents.
