He wore this spandex suit, emblazoned with the letter ‘C’ for ‘citizen’, to symbolise his belief in the power of citizens to affect change. Through bottom-up strategies like self-organised traffic management and voluntary taxes, Mockus reduced crime and accidents by over 40%.|
