By agreement with Skånemejerier, Arla Foods will become sole owner of Lindals, the two companies' joint dairy in Poland.
The decision was ratified at Arla Foods' Board Meeting on Tuesday in Gothenburg.
While Arla Foods regards Lindals and the Polish market as an integral part of the group's strategy for Northern Europe, Skånemejerier intend to focus on the Nordic markets. Arla Foods and Skånemejerier will, however, maintain their existing sales collaboration in Poland.
Lindals was previously owned by Skånemejerier and the former Kløver Mælk which merged with MD Foods in 1999. When MD Foods and Arla merged earlier this year Lindals became a joint venture between Skånemejerier and Arla Foods.
Lindals employs a workforce of 140, receives 35 million kg milk per annum and has a capacity of 6,000 tons yellow cheese per year.
