Figures for the past dairy year show a moderate decline in the number of visitors to Arla Foods’ three visitor dairies in Denmark.
In the previous year, 25,500 visitors came to the three dairies against 21,945 this year.
The fall in numbers is primarily accounted for by the ultra modern Taulov Dairy, which opened in 2000 and attracted considerable interest. That interest has now found a more natural level with 10,825 visitors this year against 15,483 visitors in 2001/2002.
Slagelse Dairy maintained its normal level of 4,000, while the yoghurt dairy, Brabrand Mejeri, welcomed 7,186 visitors after an abnormally low number of 6,000 last year.
