In a ”first” for Arla Foods since the merger between the Danish MD Foods and the Swedish Arla in 2001, an identical TV commercial is currently running in both countries. The commercial, which uses Danish in Denmark and Swedish in Sweden, shows a young man cooking with Høng mould cheese.
The commercial is the result of a partnership between three Arla Foods’ divisions,
the Sweden Division, the Denmark Division and the Europe Division and is aimed at optimising sales to to different target groups in a variety of markets.
"We’re creating a joint communication platform for the Nordic countries in order to better exploit the strengths of the brands,” explains Morten Hansen, Head of the Høng brand team and Product Manager for Høng and mould cheese in the Denmark Division. “In addition, we achieve considerable savings from running one marketing campaign in several markets.”
From May packaging for the Høng product line will be given a common design for Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
