Arla Foods’ Polish subsidiary, Lindals, on Wednesday changed its name to Arla Foods.
The name change was celebrated at an event attended by milk producers, customers and Polish media representatives. Deputy Managing Director Åke Modig represented the Arla Foods Group’s executive management team.
“The fact that we’re now called Arla Foods means that we can now market ourselves more efficiently,” says Kristian Nielsen, Director of Arla Foods, Poland.
Arla Foods’ Polish subsidiary comprises a dairy in Goscino, a warehouse, a cheese packing facility in Tychowo and a terminal in Warsaw.
The subsidiary employs a workforce of 115.
The dairy, which produces yellow cheese, exports its products to Central and Eastern Europe.
Lindals’ Dairy was established in 1990 by the Swede Anders Lindal. After some years, Skåne dairies bought into the company, to be followed by Kløver Mælk.
Following the merger between Kløver Mælk and MD Foods, Skåne Dairies offloaded its interest so that today the company is fully owned by Arla Foods.
