For the first time ever, Norwegian dairy producers will exhibit their products at Denmark’s annual National Dairy Exhibition on November 6 and 7 in Herning, Jutland. This means that the 2002 exhibition will now comprise exhibitors from Denmark as well as Sweden, Iceland and Norway.
"We see this as a sign that the exhibition is becoming a truly Nordic event,” says the National Dairy Exhibition’s Secretary Sven Ålborg.
The more than 1,000 different dairy products at the Herning exhibition will all be judged individually. In keeping with tradition, the Danish products will compete for the ”Danish Championships” in their respective categories, while the best of the Norwegian, Swedish and Icelandic products will be awarded prizes.
In a new move, a Concept prize will be launched for which five nominated concepts will compete. The concepts, which must all have been launched within the past three years, may be a finished dairy product, a raw material component, a production method, packaging, marketing initiatives, etc.
