Til tonerne af den portugisiske nationalsang afsunget af 6.000 ellevilde portugisiske fans vandt Astralis lørdag aften årets tiende og sidste trofæ ved BLAST Pro Series i Lissabon. De danske verdensstjerner satte bare et enkelt map til ud af 8 mulige ved weekendens event og efter en 2-1 sejr over rivalerne fra NaVi kan Astralis nu kalde sig vindere af BLAST Pro Series for anden gang.

All tickets for BLAST Pro Series in Altice Arena were sold out and the fans did not dissapoint. Throughout the day and into the night the atmosphere was electric and the players obviously also enjoyed the last big Counter-Strike tournament of the year! Local favourites MIBR fell short of reaching the Grand Final, which was won by 2018's all dominating CS:GO team, Astralis. NaVi took 2nd place.

Førstedagen ved årets sidste Counter-Strike turnering gik ikke helt som ventet. Efter Cloud9 i januar vandt Majoren har holdet haft et hårdt år. Det kan dog være, det amerikansk baserede hold alligevel får en tidlig julegave med hjem fra Lissabon. Efter sejre over MIBR og FaZe Clan ligger Cloud9 sammen med Astralis på en delt førsteplads med 4 point. Alt er åbent inden finaledagen lørdag.

Day 1 of the final CS:GO tournament of the year did not go quite as expected. After winning the Major in January Cloud9 has had a rough year, but it might just be that the US based team will end the year on a high note. After wins over MIBR and FaZe Clan, together with Astralis Cloud9 are 2-0 and have taken the lead in the groupstage. MIBR and NaVi are both 1-1 while NiP and FaZe Clan are 0-2.

For the fourth time out of four, BLAST Pro Series can turn on the red lights in the ticket booths. Earlier this week the capacity was increased from 5.500 to 6.000 and Friday afternoon, the day before the tournament takes over Altice Arena, the last ticket was sold. An amazing year in Counter-Strike history will end with an amazing event in yet another packed arena.

BLAST Pro Series Lisbon marks the end of an amazing Counter-Strike year. Friday night the 2 initial group stage rounds can only be watched online on TV but when Saturday comes, all decisive group stage matches and the Grand Final will be played in a packed arena in front of 6.000 fans.
