BLAST Pro Series Madrid will have one qualified team in the tournament for the first time ever.

When BLAST Pro Series takes on Madrid on May 10-11 in Madrid Arena it will be in the company of the Finnish superteam ENCE, and for the first time ever, a locally qualified team.

Vodafone Giants have qualified for the Play-In final in Madrid Arena on May 10, where they will play against Movistar Riders for a spot in BLAST Pro Series Madrid 19's main tournament.

The local team will qualify on May 10 in Madrid Arena in the qualifier final. Movistar Riders placed 1st in the first split of the regular competition, putting them directly in the Play-In Final of BLAST Pro Series Madrid 19.

Vodafone Giants have qualified for the final through LVP and ultimately secured the spot in Madrid Arena by beating Queso 2-1 on April 17. The winner of Movistar Riders and Vodafone Giants will have an even taller order in front of them. The winner goes straight to BLAST Pro Series Madrid 19’s main tournament against world-class Counter-Strike team in the classic BLAST format.

The teams for BLAST Pro Series Madrid 19 are:

  • Astralis (Denmark)
  • NAVI (Ukraine)
  • Cloud9 (US)
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas (Sweden)
  • ENCE (Finland)
  • Winner of Movistar Riders (Spain) vs. Vodafone Giants (Spain)

The qualifier in Madrid is the first of many, and the ultimate goal is to have a local and regional qualification system for every BLAST event in the coming seasons. Since each city will have different local teams, the qualifying teams will not receive points in the Global Season Leaderboard for playing a tournament.

The returning teams (Astralis, NAVI, Cloud9, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and ENCE) will all have the chance to pad their stats on the Global Season Leaderboard at BLAST Pro Series Madrid 19.

BLAST Pro Series Madrid 19 will offer a prize pool of $250,000 and the title of BLAST Pro Series champions. For a qualifying team, even more is at stake. It’s an opportunity to be discovered and for players to shine in front of BLAST Pro Series’ audience which is millions strong counting the live spectators, TV viewers and people tuning into the online streams.

Tickets for BLAST Pro Series Madrid 19 are still available via. Ticketmaster.
