In the current climate construction and building jobs are under threat, as the 'credit crunch' starts significantly impacting on work available. DEWALT(r) has teamed up with key working partners to host a free health and safety event and ensure local industry has the best chance to beat the recession and continue to win business.

DEWALT 18V Battery

Ashton Gate Stadium home of Bristol City Football Club hosts the 2009 Perform and Protect event with DEWALT(r) and partners. Open to anyone in the building and construction trade, from apprentice to site manager, the event offers the opportunity to retrain and update your skills knowledge. One lucky attendee is also guaranteed to walk away with £4,000 worth of DEWALT(r) kit. Everyone who registers online will also be able to claim their free safety kit at the event (terms and conditions apply).

Leading health and safety experts will offer advice and training on the topical 'hand arm vibration syndrome' (HAVS), power tool safety and occupational health. There will also be free PAT and battery testing for power tools. Along with the health and safety training, Perform & Protect will also have competitions and challenges to take part in, including the Million Euro Challenge.
