Cibes Lift Group recruits new Managing Director for subsidiary in Belgium and the Netherlands

AesyLiften B.V. Is one of Group Cibes Lift Group's fourteen subsidiaries and sales companies around the world. It was established in 2005 and is responsible for operations on the Belgian and Dutch markets. The company's current Managing Director, Rudi Leusink, announced last spring that he would be leaving his position. Merijn Aldewereld has now been appointed as new Managing Director and head of subsidiary. He will join in September and comes from a position as Division Director within Mechan Holding B.V. Mechan Holding is active in Belgium and the Netherlands and markets a wide range of agricultural machines and equipment. The current AesyLiften B.V. Managing Director Rudi Leusink, who has so successfully developed the company since its inception, will remain as adviser and partner in the Group.

"As part of our long-term investment in Belgium and the Netherlands, we have been looking for a leader with the mix of skills that Merijn possesses. He combines a strong Managing Director profile with experience in working with solution-oriented sales and marketing. Merijn also shows great willingness to use coaching to inspire co-workers and to create the understanding of how important it is to work with a clear customer focus. I regard the fact that Merijn comes from a completely different field as positive. We are therefore very pleased to employ Merijn as new subsidiary Managing Director and I am convinced that he will contribute to moving AesyLift's market position further forward," says Cibes Lift Group CEO Mats Engblom.

Cibes Lift Group has evolved from a local Swedish company to an international group with more than 360 employees in fourteen countries and distributors in nearly fifty countries. In June 2017, Cibes Lift Group was acquired by the investment company Nalka. With Nalka as its new owner, the Cibes Lift Group aims to continue expansion. The Group's subsidiaries are very important for the Group intention to work with value-based sales where customers are provided with extensive support in their choice of lift solutions.

“Cibes is a strong brand in the industry in Belgium and the Netherlands. The fact that the Group Management, together with the new owners, has a pronounced desire to further strengthen their brands and move their market positions forward makes the role of Managing Director a very exciting and stimulating challenge. I hope to contribute knowledge and experience from a completely different industry, and I also see great similarities in what may help to develop sales. One example is aftermarket sales where I feel there is significant potential for AesyLiften. Customers in many industries today request total solutions so they want a strong partner who takes long-term responsibility all the way from the choice of solution to subsequent service and future up-dates. One of my goals is that AesyLiften will achieve this position and profile in the market for low-speed lifts,” states Merijn Aldewereld.
