The Danish Energy Agency calls for bids in the tender scheme for solar PV

Today, the Danish Energy Agency has opened the tender scheme concerning a price premium for solar PV with an installed capacity of less than 1 MW. The deadline for bids is November 1 2018.

In the fall 2017, the parties behind the Energy Agreement 2012-2020 decided to convert a solar PV scheme that was scheduled for 2017 into a tender, with the expectation that the competition between bidders will lead to a lower level of aid.

The total budget of the tender is DKK 107 million (2018-prices), and it is expected to result in about 35 MW solar PV. Bids must be given in Danish, but the tender material is also available in an English translation.

The tender is the first of two tenders planned for the fall 2018. The Danish Energy Agency expects to call for bids in the second tender in the beginning of fall, where both wind turbine and solar PV projects can participate.
