What are the main issues facing the publishing industry? How will it meet these challenges and which new business areas are opening up? These are the issues ppi Media will address and provide answers to - at trade fairs and conferences in Cologne, Berlin and Amsterdam.

Hamburg, September 18, 2014. With just under 32,000 visitors and over 800 exhibitors, dmexco, the leading trade fair for digital marketing, once again proved to be a groundbreaking event. ppi Media once again attended the trade fair in Cologne, presenting select workflow solutions for multi-channel and digital publishing. This event will be closely followed by the BDZV Newspaper Congress, to be held in Berlin from September 29-30, 2014. But the most significant event in the publishing industry will take place in Amsterdam in October: the World Publishing Expo, where ppi Media will be presenting its products at Booth 9.410 from October 13-15, 2014.

dmexco 2014: Moving into a digital future

Once again, dmexco, the world's leading trade fair and conference for marketing, media and technology which was held on September 10-11, 2014, showed that interest in digital topics remains high. Seminars, conferences and workshops with speakers from all over the world allowed plenty of room for discussion. “What makes dmexco so unique is its diversity,” explained Jan Kasten, CTO of ppi Media. “Exchanging views with small startups, the large advertising companies and innovative digital brands provides us with new impetus for our own business and gives us the opportunity to take a broader view of the publishing industry.” ppi Media presented solutions for digital multi-channel publishing jointly with Digital Collections.

Leading event for the publishing industry in Amsterdam

At the World Publishing Expo, visitors can get to know ppi Media's products at Booth 9.410 either in an individual presentation by one of our staff or in a live demonstration. “We are looking forward to the World Publishing Expo, to seeing old customers again, and to meeting new ones,” said Norbert Ohl, CEO of ppi Media. “With digitalization advancing rapidly, calls for efficient solutions for multi-channel publishing are becoming louder. Which is why we will be presenting solutions which simplify and automate the workflow for newspapers, magazines and corporate publishers to a large extent.”

Hand in hand: digital and print

Along with its approved solutions for the printing industry, ppi Media will focus increasingly on Content-X, AdX and OM portal at the World Publishing Expo. “Content-X is one of our most popular products at the moment. This solution is quick to install and particularly easy to use,” said Norbert Ohl. In this editorial system, texts, images, videos and other content remain media-neutral until they are used for their respective output channel, making it the ideal tool for multi-channel publishing.

360° advertising campaigns with AdX

ppi Media's integrated ad solution is used to enter, book and manage advertising media, either individually or as a campaign for web, tablet, mobile and print. “Planning broadcast with AdX is simple too. Planning boards or a page dummy show the booking states of the respective media dynamically,” said Jan Kasten, describing this web-based solution. Standard ad booking systems and ad servers are integrated in AdX, thereby ensuring an efficient, consistent workflow.

More transparency for print customers

ppi Media also provides solutions for the printing industry and will be presenting OM portal amongst others. It enables printers to use their capacities to the full by integrating their commercial job customers more: customers can upload their print files to a platform where they can then check the files and subsequently release them to print. OM portal thus creates a transparent workflow for processing orders. At Booth 9.410, you can find out what else ppi Media's solutions can be used for.
