We report in our financial analysis about the company Altona Mining, which develops an attractive copper project in Australia. The author Carsten Ringler describes the project and performs various calculations. As a result of the analysis Mr. Ringler is quoted: "Altona was already successful in finding an Chinese joint venture partner for the fully permitted project, who will take a large part of the project funding. The company has currently a low market capitalization, which is almost 84% backed by cash."
About the company:
Altona Mining Limited is a copper company with a major copper development project in Australia. Altona’s core asset is the Cloncurry Copper Project near Mt. Isa in Queensland and is one of Australia’s largest undeveloped copper projects with a resource containing 1.65 million tons of copper and 409.000 million ounces of gold. The first development envisaged is the 7 million tons per annum Little Eva open pit copper-gold mine and concentrator. Little Eva’s proposed annual production is 38,800 tons of copper and 17,000 ounces of gold for a minimum of 11 years. A Definitive Feasibility Study was completed in May 2012 and revised in March 2014. The project is fully permitted.
Altona is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
