ViviTouch polymer film

Billede   •   Feb 22, 2013 08:00 CET

Electrodes are printed on both sides of a polymer film. When voltage is applied, they attract one another, exerting pressure on the non-conductive film in between, which expands over its whole surface. When voltage is turned off, the film returns to its original shape. Controlled motions with quick response times are the result, which can then be used to simulate HD haptic effects.
