Jaguar og Land Rover lukker sine engelske fabrikker en måned

På baggrund af den igangværende coronavirus-situation har Jaguar Land Rover bekræftet, at den midlertidigt vil standse produktionen på sine britiske produktionsanlæg i løbet af næste uge. Virksomhedens intention er at genoptage i ugen 20. april.

Som en ansvarlig virksomhed opererer Jaguar Land Rover i tråd med rådgivning fra NHS og Public Health England for at minimere spredningen af coronavirus, samtidig med at de implementerer planer for at sikre dens forretningskontinuitet. Virksomheden vil arbejde for en ordnet tilbagevenden til produktion, når forholdene tillader det.

I øjeblikket fortsætter Jaguar Land Rover produktionsanlæg i Brasilien og Indien. Virksomhedens joint venture-fabrik i Kina genåbnede i ugen den 24. februar, da livet begynder at komme tilbage til det normale i landet.

Selvom virksomhedens fokus skal være på dens forretning og ansvar over for medarbejderne, gør Jaguar Land Rover, hvad det er, for at støtte sine lokalsamfund gennem den aktuelle situation. Virksomhedens tanker er med dem, der er direkte berørt af COVID-19 og med sundhedspersonalet, hvis rolle i bekæmpelsen af denne virus er værdsat af alle.

From 2020 all new Jaguar Land Rover vehicles will be electrified, giving our customers even more choice. We will introduce a portfolio of electrified products across our model range, embracing fully electric, plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid vehicles as well as continuing to offer the latest diesel and petrol engines.
