Voddler, a leading cloud based video-on-demand (VOD) service, welcomes Cipio Partners as new investor and Roland Dennert as its representative on Voddler’s Board of Directors. Mr Dennert is a Managing Partner at the international technology investment and advisory firm Cipio Partners. The investment of Cipio Partners, as well as the board appointment of Mr. Dennert, underlines Voddler’s focus on international expansion.

Cipio Partners, based in Luxembourg, Munich and San José, participated in a recent private placement completed by Voddler. The private placement enables Voddler’s continued international expansion.

Roland Dennert is a Managing Partner at Cipio Partners (www.cipiopartners.com), an investment and advisory firm with €300m of assets under management focusing on growth stage technology companies. Earlier in his career, Mr Dennert held positions with 3i Group, The Boston Consulting Group and with Roland Berger & Partner.

Further related to the Voddler board, Patrick Ståhle will be resigning his position on the board on January 1, 2012. One of the first investors in Voddler, Mr Ståhle has been instrumental in growing Voddler to its current market position.

- We are happy to welcome Roland Dennert, whose experience in building global media and technology companies will be invaluable as we continue our international growth. At the same time, we are indebted to Patrick for his hard work as a board member during several years and for his now continued support as a shareholder, says Marcus Bäcklund, CEO of Voddler.

Also on January 1, 2012, current board member Bertil Villard will become Non-Executive Director on the Voddler Advisory Board. The Voddler Board of Directors now consists of Jan Söderberg (Chairman), Hadar Cars (Verdane Capital), Bo Ilsoe (Nokia Growth Partners), Mikael Rönnblad (Elisa Corporation), Roland Dennert (Cipio Partners) and Marcus Bäcklund (President and CEO).
