BT Global Services positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services Magic Quadrant
2012-03-13 11:47BT today announced that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant in the ‘Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services Magic Quadrant’[i] report.
The report by Gartner includes analysis of 19 global vendors of IT services that “support, operate and manage business communications systems and networks worldwide.” Gartner recommends it be used “to find the right providers for communications-centric managed service and outsourcing relationships or project-based engagements.”
The Gartner report says that “Leaders affect competitors by: enabling technology and IT service offerings; their focus on the enterprise and targeted industry segments; and their capability to differentiate on value, price and service levels to be first to market with relevant products. Vendors in the Leaders quadrant are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are building competencies to sustain their leadership positions in the market.”
Jeff Kelly, CEO for BT Global Services, said: “We believe our leadership position in this well-respected report re-affirms what we are seeing as we continue to win in the market. We have established our global market position by having the scale, reach, skills and capabilities our customers need, including BT Advise experts who deliver consulting, systems integration and managed service around the world.
“BT’s investments in Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East and Africa continue to help us serve customers as they expand globally,” Kelly said. “Recent contracts, such as our multi-year managed service agreement with Bristol-Myers Squibb, and an increase of 50% of orders in Asia Pacific and Latin America in the first nine months of this financial year are further evidence that we are meeting the needs of our customers around the world.”
To underscore its commitment to customers, in December 2011 BT consolidated 4,500 BT Global Services experts who deliver consulting, systems integration and managed services around the world were under one team and one name – BT Advise. This team delivers services through global practices organized around the BT Global Services core capabilities.
