Koreans queuing up for first Flying Tiger Copenhagen shop in Seoul

Flying Tiger Copenhagen brings its successful mix of fun shopping and quirky, award-winning Danish design to Korea. The first store opened this morning in Seoul. Koreans in the thousands were queuing up for the event.

A visit to Flying Tiger Copenhagen is never boring. The popular Danish variety retailer offers a quirky and ever-changing assortment of award winning own-designed products at affordable prices. The shopping experience is full of surprises and maims to inspire the visitors to try new things, to be creative and to have more fun with their family and friends.

The new 265 square meter store in Seoul Myungdong Lotte Young Plaza is the first Flying Tiger Copenhagen of a series of stores in Korea. Over the last few years, Flying Tiger Copenhagen has experienced almost explosive growth internationally opening 2-3 new stores per week, and the store in Myoungdong Lotte Young Plaza is number 660.

“The opening of our Myungdong Lotte Young Plaza store is an important milestone in Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s development. The fact that we managed to reach store number 660 in very short time says something about our solid strategy, which builds on a unique and authentic concept that customers in 29 countries have welcomed with open arms”, says Flying Tiger Copenhagen CEO, Xavier Vidal.

When visiting Flying Tiger Copenhagen customers often fall in love with things they never knew they needed but now can’t live without. Perhaps it’s a funny game to play with friends, a new designer basket to store the bedroom pillows or a useful umbrella that will keep them safe from the rain on the way home? There is always something new on the shelves to ensure that a visit to Flying Tiger Copenhagen is an inspiring stop. Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s design team in Copenhagen creates about half of the 300 new products that are introduced every month. The categories include things for your home, play, hobbies and parties, as well as snacks, electronics, gadgets, fashion accessories and more.

“Danish design is immensely popular in Korea. Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s strength is that we are able to offer Danish design and household products at surprisingly affordable prices,” Korean CEO, Sang Hyun, says.
