Jim Lyngvild exhibits his extraordinary new photo series ICONS at Gallery Flintholm. Vernissage is Saturday the 29th of August at 14.00 to 17.00, where Jim Lyngvild will be present.

In ‘ICONS’ ministers and celebrities are changed beyond recognition photographed in baroque scenery with extravagant clothes, wigs and heavy jewelry. The photos appeal highly to both your senses and your imagination.

Watch also Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin tenderly embrace each other embodied as Barbie dolls. Will there be hope for a peaceful coexistence when Jim Lyngvild is the creator of this almost angelic pas de deux?

Jim Lyngvild’s latest photo series from 2014 called ‘The seven deadly sins’ attracted a huge amount of visitors. This one will very probably do the same. Don’t miss it! It’s simply blingtastic. Be surprised, get a good laugh or be speechless.

Gallery Flintholm serves as a sales gallery and a presentation window for permanent artists with varying, separate exhibitions. 

The gallery is 600 m2 and respected Danish and international artists in the field of modern art are affiliated.
The Gallery Flintholm has furthermore built a permanent collection, which is partly exhibited in the gallery, and which is continuously being developed.

The gallery has exhibited famous artists, such as Asger Jorn, Robert Jacobsen, Mogens Balle and Sam Francis, however, the dynamics of the gallery stem from the close collaboration with contemporary artists. At one end is has the famous artists and at the other end the upcoming artists.
The Gallery Flintholm is a part of the Flintholm Manor, which lies on South Funen between Svendborg and Fåborg.

The history of the Manor dates back to 1505 and the fieldstone barn, where the gallery is located is from 1887.
After thorough renovations, gallery owner Litten Gervang, opened Gallery Flintholm at 23 November 2003aánd has ever since retailed modern art to private collectors as well as to companies.

Regardless of your interest in modern art – the gallery is worth a visit, as it has succeeded in taking an 120 year old building, sustain is qualities, create a light and airy environment and use the location for new purposes.
