KINGSPAN INSULATION TO ACQUIRE BUILDING PRODUCTS BUSINESS OF PACTIV

Agreement has been reached for Kingspan Group, the world’s largest manufacturer of premium and high performance rigid insulation materials, to acquire the US building products business of Pactiv as part of a program of expansion, to grow its range of insulation technologies and to extend the markets for its existing brands.

Kingspan’s insulation division has enjoyed consistent and substantial growth over the past decade, helped by a continuous program of investment in market development, manufacturing capability and customer service together with astute acquisitions. The building products business of Pactiv produces a comprehensive range of XPS insulation products and breather membranes under the GreenGuard brand, and is well established in the North American market.

The merging of the two brands in this new venture will allow an exceptional and unparalleled range of products and expertise to be offered to the North American market.
