By downloading the Sony SongPal app from the Google Play™ Store and connecting your smartphone to the MEX-XB100BT via one-touch NFC/ Bluetooth®, you can easily play music saved on your device and even take control over basic functions of car audio and smartphone apps. Just issue voice commands after pressing the integrated VOICE key on the head unit to call your friends, listen to messages and notifications or even operate functions such as navigation and music apps, without ever having to touch or look at your smartphone.

Voice control is also available for your iOS devices as the MEX-XB100BT comes with Siri Eyes Free, so you can ask Siri to call friends, select and play music, hear and compose text messages, read notifications, and more. Now you can get things done with minimal distractions when you’re behind the wheel.

In preparation for a night out whilst driving to your friends you can activate the 2-zone Dynamic Colour Illuminator to illuminate your car with the CD receiver’s integrated LEDs. You can choose from up to 35,000 LED variations to match the in-car décor with separate colour assignment on high contrast LCD. With Sony’s integrated beat sensing technology the LED can change its colour, pulsing optimally to either sound pressure or the back beat of the music, so that you can recreate a real clubbing atmosphere even while you’re on the road.
