EET Europarts acquires Danish Audio/Video development and design company

Press Release   •   Dec 18, 2013 00:30 -12

The recent acquisition of the Danish company ViewMedia is the third acquisition made by EET Europarts this year. EET Europarts strongly believes in continued growth in sales of digital Audio and Video products, and the acquisition will further strengthen the position of EET Europarts as a strong supplier of Home Entertainment & Lifestyle Electronics for the retail segment.

The acquired business activities from ViewMedia will be placed in a newly established entity, Clint Digital, with EET Europarts as majority owner and senior employees from former ViewMedia as minority owners.
Clint Digital will be developing and designing digital Audio and Video products. Clint Digital has a wide assortment within i.a. operator approved set-top-boxes for the DVB TV market together with DAB/DAB+ radios, Internet radios and streaming products for the audio market. Furthermore a complete new line-up of products are in pipeline to be launched in the beginning of 2014. Sales will be handled partly by EET Europarts´  European distribution grid, including 31 sales offices in 26 countries and more than 40,000 buying customers per year, and partly by selling directly to existing Clint Digital key accounts and to private label customers.
”We are a growth company, and we believe there is a huge market potential for innovative, digital Audio and Video products. Our acquisition of similar business activities from the Kjaerulff 1 Group  earlier in the year has already turned out to be a very good investment, and with Clint Digital we will add yet another strong product assortment and even more skill sets into this specific business area,” says CEO John Thomas from EET Group.
”EET Europarts is unique in Europe and a perfect match for a company like Clint Digital. Our ambition of becoming a Pan-European supplier demands for an exceptional business partner, and this is what we have now attained with EET Europarts. We are delighted with the partnership and pleased that we do now have the right take-off to launch the new and very interesting product line-up we have prepared for launch in the beginning of the new year,”
says Brian Larsen, CEO of Clint Digital.
Brian Larsen was co-founder, co-owner and CEO of former ViewMedia for the past 17 years.
