Morangis, Paris, February 2016 – FACOM has today extended its robust and versatile toolbox range with the introduction of three new models featuring an innovative One Touch Latch. Following in-depth user research that revealed a 92% preference over classic fasteners, FACOM designed this inventive open-and-close mechanism for maximum practicality, and ultimate convenience for accessing tools in daily use.

In addition to the straightforward, one-handed operation for opening up the toolbox, the FACOM smart latch device also closes itself automatically – quickly and effortlessly securing the valuable contents inside. A padlock eye integrated into the toolbox lid adds an extra level of protection when tools have to be left unattended in the workplace or stowed overnight.

Available in three capacity options – small (16”), medium (19”) and large (24”) – internal storage space is maximised thanks to FACOM’s unique, creative design. Durable yet lightweight, these toolboxes are ideal for operators carrying out essential repairs or maintenance, and who find themselves regularly transporting their tools from site to site.

Putting smaller parts, fastenings and accessories within easy reach, the new FACOM range incorporates two generously-sized organisers in the top of the unit, which are accessible without opening the main toolbox itself. These sturdy twin-lid compartments are ideal for stowing away components, such as screws, nails, washers and more.

Further flexibility has been provided with the inclusion of a removable, portable tote tray for immediate access to regularly-used hand tools, ensuring users spend less time searching for everyday items in their kit.

For added portability and a more secure and comfortable grip, a soft, wide retractable handle has been incorporated into the lid. The rubber-coated handle also folds down flat, allowing multiple toolboxes to be easily stacked.
