​HTC Appoints New Country Manager for Nordics

Copenhagen May 19, 2015 - HTC has appointed Jan Costa Thiele, 48 , as new Country Manager for HTC Nordics. Jan is taking over the responsibility from former General Manager for UK and Nordics Peter Frolund, who will continue as General Manager for UK and Ireland.

Since 2010 Jan Costa Thiele has served as Head of Sales for HTC Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) overlooking partners and distributors. Before joining HTC he worked as VP of Sales Development for Gigaset Communications GmbH (formerly Siemens AG), where he started as business development manager in 2001.

Growing the UK Market

During his time as General Manager for Nordics and UK, Peter Frolund, 47, overlooked the successful transition of HTC from a smartphone challenger in 2007 to a global consumer brand. In his new role he will focus solely on the UK and Irish market, to further build on the growth that HTC has seen the last two years.

“It has been a fantastic journey to be able to bring the HTC brand to the Nordic market back in 2006. I took over the responsibility for the UK market in 2013 alongside Nordics and in order to grow this market even further, I need to devote this market my full attention. With Jan Costa Thiele leading the Nordic team HTC Nordics is as strong as ever, and I wish Jan and the team the best of luck”, says Peter Frolund.
