​HTC Nordics rolls out Android Lollipop to HTC One (M8)

Android 5.0 Lollipop is the latest update to Google’s Android operating system, and starting today HTC Nordics will roll out the update to their HTC One (M8). Updating the smartphone to Android Lollipop you will get a new fresh design, improved battery life and notification system, and HTC has integrated Sense 6 to give more seamless and intuitive smartphone experience.

The most intuitive Android experience

It has been a pleasure for HTC’s design team to redesign Sense 6 to Google’s new design language, Material Design, says VP of UK and Nordics Peter Frølund:

- Since 2009, HTC has focussed on making the user experience even more seamless and intuitive by integrating Sense into the Android operating system. Android Lollipop follows the principles in the flat design trend, which is exactly the same goal our design team has for HTC Sense, says Peter Frølund and continues:

- We choose to integrate Sense because we want to give our customers a beautiful and intuitive smartphone experience. Android Lollipop is the most thorough update to Android I have ever seen, so it has been a fine balance in keeping the minimalistic design and optimizing the usability. I believe we have succeeded in doing just that, and with the integration of Sense in Android Lollipop we are able to give our HTC customers the most beautiful and intuitive Android experience to date, says Peter Frølund.

Get the update for your HTC One (M8)

You can get the update for HTC One (M8) starting today. The update is available over the air, and you can check whether the update is ready by going to settings, about and software updates. It is recommended to download the update over WiFi.

There is yet no news about, when other smartphones in HTC’s product portfolio will receive the Lollipop update.
