JACOB’S CREEK THE ONLY WINE BRAND AWARDED AT ONE SHOW AND CANNES LIONS2012-06-29 20:19
Both competitions recognise excellence in creative communications and are highly coveted within the industry.
Jacob’s Creek is the only wine brand to have won an award not only in one but both competitions, reinforcing its position as a global leader in wine marketing and in branded communication.
The One Show Entertainment Awards are held in Los Angeles, and have been growing rapidly since they began in 2008. The 2012 competition received thousands of submissions from 35 countries. Within this field, Jacob’s Creek ‘Open’ was awarded a Silver Pencil in the Television/Specials category and was the only wine brand globally to win a One Show Entertainment award.
The 59th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity was held in Cannes France, and attracted over 28,000 entries from all over the world. From the 87 campaigns shortlisted in the Branded Content and Entertainment Awards, Jacob’s Creek ‘Open’ was awarded the Bronze Lion for the “Best Use of Sponsorship Integration” category and again was the only wine brand to win a Lion.
Jo Adamo, Marketing Director for Orlando Wines (makers of Jacob’s Creek) said, “I am delighted with the recognition the campaign has achieved for its unique creative content.”
“In particular I congratulate our agency partner Cummins Ross who worked on this campaign from start to finish, as well our very dedicated brand team at Jacob’s Creek, and of course Andre Agassi and his management for the depth, success and wide appeal of the films.”
The “Open” films feature a series of revealing interviews with Andre Agassi, bringing alive the messages behind Jacob’s Creek’s True Character communication platform as well as supporting the brand’s global tennis associations.
The films feature as part of the Jacob’s Creek ‘Open’ campaign that was launched in Australia in January and is now rolling out globally across 21 countries.
