Voddler, Scandinavia’s leading online film service, today opens up for everyone in Finland. Until now, you had to have a specific invite in order to access the service. But from today, anyone who wants can go to www.voddler.com and immediately start watching the best films from the world’s biggest movie studios.  Voddler offers both rental and ad-funded titles, and in addition to using Voddler online, you can also watch Voddler-movies on Nokia Symbian, Android, iPhone or iPad-devices.

Swedish-based Voddler opened in Finland last September as an invitation-only service. For the past year, you had to receive an invite from either a friend who used Voddler or from Voddler’s partner, Elisa.  Voddler now removes the invite requirement and anyone who wants can now start “voddling” instantly.

- Whenever we launch in a new market, we use invitations.  It helps us roll out our service in a controlled manner.  Working with a partner like Elisa also gives us valuable insights into how our service can be further developed in the local market.  After this initial phase, we are now happy to be opening up Voddler for everyone in Finland to use, says Anders Sjöman, VP Communication at Voddler.

Voddler is available online at www.voddler.com, where you can pick from a growing catalog of over 4,000 titles, both movies and TV-shows.  The latest titles are offered as pay-per-view (RENT) but the majority of titles, over 80%, are financed with advertising (PLAY).

Voddler is also available on mobile devices, with apps for Nokia Symbian, Android, iPhone and iPad.  Download them directly from your mobile phone’s app store.

Voddler is currently available in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. Finland was the last of these markets to require an invite.
