Terms and Conditions
Mynewsdesk AB (“Mynewsdesk”) is an active online news service offering the service Mynewsdesk (referred to hereafter as “the Service”). Users of the Service are bound by the following terms and conditions of this agreement (referred to hereafter as “the Agreement”).
The service covers searching and monitoring, as well as subscription to, press information from companies, public authorities, state authorities, organizations, associations, as well as other so-called “sources” via Mynewsdesk. Journalists and other interested parties use the Service by searching for material, monitoring specific category areas and subscribing to information from the Sources. Customers are able to independently create and edit their company profile without restriction.
The Customer’s Commitment
The customer will not reveal login details to access the Service to any third party
The customer acknowledges that the Service cannot be made available for use by any third party.
The customer will act in accordance with copyright laws when using information made available via the Service.
The customer confirms that she or he is a professional journalist.
Mynewsdesk provides an adequate support service to assist the Customer when necessary or when problems arrive with the Customer’s use of the Service. Mynewsdesk’s support is, unless the Customer is otherwise notified, open Monday-Friday during regular office hours (09:00 - 17:00 CET). Support is closed on national Swedish holidays. The Customer can contact Support by telephone on 08 644 89 50 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Running & Maintenance
The Service usually runs 24-hours a day, seven days a week. The Service is monitored by technical support staff; however, interruptions to the service can occur from time to time. Mynewsdesk does not guarantee that the Service is free from errors or that interruptions to the service will not occur.
Mynewsdesk is not responsible for any information obtained from a source.
Mynewsdesk is responsible for tackling any technical problems with the system within a reasonable amount of time.
Mynewsdesk will take care of errors or problems related to the Service as it sees fit.
Mynewsdesk is entitled to make the Service unavailable at any time to carry out necessary repairs or upgrades.
Changes to the Service
Mynewsdesk reserves the right to carry out changes to the Service including the sources that are monitored, running service, technical specifications and system, etc.
The customer is fully aware that the Service is continually under development and will change during the course of time.
Mynewsdesk is not responsible for direct or indirect damages or other illegal acts that may arise in conjunction with incorrect information, delivery failure, or the delay in delivering information. Mynewsdesk is not responsible, and will not be held accountable, for any infringement or damage that might occur to the Customer at the hands of any third party.
All intellectual property rights that belong to and part of the Service and the technical solutions related to the Service are the sole exclusive property of Mynewsdesk or the sole property of the copyright holder distributed on or via Mynewsdesk and may not be used by the Customer in any other manner except that which is expressly stated by Mynewsdesk.
Personal Details and Consent
Mynewsdesk is responsible for personal details in accordance with the Swedish law concerning personal particulars (Personuppgiftslagen 1998:204) in relation to those personal details used in conjunction with the Service. The Customer hereby consents that Mynewsdesk may use his or her personal details in order to administrate the subscription, make offers to the Customer, and for the purpose of marketing.
Each dispute between the Customer and Mynewsdesk, in accordance with the above agreements, will be settled according to negotiations. If such negotiations fail to reach a satisfactory conclusion then the dispute will be settled in a Swedish civil law court. In the first instance, all disputes will be handled by Stockholm’s district court. This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of Sweden excluding all conflict of laws principles.
