Estonian Hospitality Industry Newsletter
Haaga-Helia Estonia / Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Centre in Estonia initiated, compiled, edited and published a year ago Eesti Turismimajanduse Uudiskiri 1/2016 – Estonian Hospitality Industry Newsletter. Now the second one is in the making – this time providing a roundup of the 2016 and plans and foresight for 2017.
The reason behind this mission is a very simple and practical one – there is not enough systematic internal communicating going on within our industry and sector or while there are some communication, PR and internal marketing activities taking place now and then, but not internal communications as we understand it – systematic, bi-directional and balanced communication, which would involve (also to participate in the communication) stakeholders instead of just impacting and affecting them and as a result would value, appreciate and empower all the stakeholders.
Last year the participating organizations were Estonian Travel and Tourism Association, Estonian Hotel and Restaurant Association, Estonian Spa Association, Estonian Convention Bureau, Estonian Rural Tourism, Association of Estonian Tourism Education, Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau, South-Estonian Tourism, North-Estonian Tourism and West-Estonian Tourism.
Haaga-Helia Estonia launched in September also a Facebook site in Estonian, since our website is mostly in English, but the market is clearly Estonian – both in the language and mentality context – and we could also chip in in the internal communications as mentioned above.
So far we’ve managed to put up about 90 postings not directly related to our activities, but dealing with any topical matter related to hospitality and tourism in Estonia and also in the Baltic Sea Region.
