Short Courses in Estonia are Mission Accomplished!

Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Centre in Estonia delivered successfully 6 short business courses during the pilot study year 2015/16.

The events – mostly 2-days per course - were held at the EBS main building and the average number of participants per course was around 15. All in all, over 25 participants were present during the exciting opening year.

The topics for the courses were chosen from the outcome of the survey done by Haaga-Helia in February-March 2015 and it would be safe to claim, that the topmost issues were addressed based on market stakeholders’ input.

The opening course was in October on “Hospitality Industry Managerial Accountingby Timo Saranpää and the everso important issues of profitability management and planning, budgeting and investment planning and operational key figures were addressed.

In November Jere Talonen followed with “Demand Management for Hospitality Leaders - Turning Insights into Actions, Profit and Asset Value” targeting the issues of turning insights into demand management actions, reaching and engaging efficiently chosen customers, dealing better with the new ways to sell and buy, finding out the customers willingness to pay, communicating and pricing the service by value and choosing the right tools, means and support for success.

The 2016 season was opened in January and February by Leadership & HR in Hospitality, where Meri Vehkaperä focused on leading and motivating people, corporate culture and communication and interaction.
