Press release -
Hogia signs with the Argentinian operator Colonia Express
Hogia Ferry Systems have signed an agreement with Argentinian ferry operator Colonia Express, to deliver the reservation and ticketing system, BOOKIT. This is Hogia’s first client in the South American market, meaning that BOOKIT is now being used by ferry operators on every continent, with the exception of Antarctica.
Colonia Express operates a passenger and vehicle ferry service from Buenos Aires, across the Rio de la Plata, to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. They also operate a connecting bus service, linking the Uruguayan port with both Montevideo and Punta del Este.
Maria Owsianik, Commercial and Marketing Manager at Colonia Express says: “During the last couple of years we have really grown our market share and we now need more advanced tools to expand further. The functionality offered within BOOKIT will enable us to excel both operationally and in customer care. We see this agreement as the platform for growth and we really look forward to working with Hogia.”
Niclas Blomstrom, Managing Director at Hogia Ferry Systems says: “Colonia Express is our first partner in South America and we are proud and really excited about this opportunity. Our product BOOKIT and our market leading APIs will make the difference for Colonia Express and their operation. By becoming part of the BOOKIT community, Colonia Express will also benefit from fellow operators who can share their experiences to support Colonia Express in their work and gain market share on this fiercely competitive route.”
