The Republic of the Union of Myanmar has received Financing from the International Development Association (IDA) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for a Solar PV Implementation Advisor for National Electrification Project (NEP). Tendersontime, a leading Procurement Information provider is the first agency to report this notification.
The National Electrification Project includes an off-grid electrification component with $90 million in IDA Credits. Deployment of household solar PV Systems in target communities includes households, public institutions (schools, health clinics and other community building) as well as public street light. The Solar PV implementation Advisor shall guide Department of Rural Development – Project Management office (DRM-PMO) to successfully implement the off-grid electrification component using solar home systems (SHS) for households, and public sector Solar PV Systems.
The primary responsibility of the Advisor is to support the DRD-PMO to ensure the efficient, effective and on-schedule implementation of the off-grid PV component. The Advisor will support DRD-PMO beginning with the implementation of the first SHS and public facilities tender, serving as the owner's engineer during bid evaluation and negotiation of contract, oversee supply and installation of the PV Systems, and help setup maintenance service networks.
