Eight of Sweden’s most innovative design companies at InnoDesignTech Expo, Hong Kong

The eight companies will be at the joint-booth area under the umbrella of ‘Southern Sweden Creatives’, to showcase their products and services for business prospects from China, Asia and the global audience that Business of Design Week attracts.

The trade mission is conducted in the framework of the Southern Sweden Creatives project which supports Swedish companies in the creative and cultural industries to grow internationally and is currently largest export-related project for the cultural and creative industries in Sweden.

“It is extremely challenging as an international indie-developer to reach out in China by ourselves, so we look forward to meeting local game publishers who can help us navigate the over 400 app stores available for android apps”, says Jaana Nykanen, CEO at Divine Robot, one of the participants. “Earlier this year China surpassed the USA when it comes to profits from iOS-games, and it became clear that the Chinese games market can’t be ignored, especially when it comes to mobile.”.

Business Developers from Invest in Skåne, along with matchmaking consultants will also be on-site and have pre-booked over 30 relevant meetings for the companies attending.

“What is special about this project is that we help SME companies in their internationalisation, facilitate and coach a meeting with a distributor or hole a workshop on how to conduct business in the USA. We engage and monitor the companies prior, during and after the activities and secure that they are tooled with the right competence and material to be able to go out internationally.” Says Business Development Manager and Deputy Project Leader at Invest in Skåne, Maria Larsson.

The participating companies are

PÅHOJNORDGRÖNADIVINE ROBOTBLOCK ZERO, MINTMINUT, IAMRUNBOX and MADMAP

Participation in this trade fair also marks the project’s final trade mission of the year, which has seen southern Swedish delegations from the creative and cultural industries at international marketplaces as the international film festival in Cannes, the South by South West Conference and Festivals in Austin, Texas, and local international events such as Malmö Arab Film Festival Film Market and the inaugural Bridge Summit in Lund.

Southern Sweden Creatives exhibition is present in hall 1B, booths 1B D01 - 1B D08.
