​The City of Västerås, west of Stockholm, has been chosen as the location where Northvolt will place their R&D facility for the next generation lithium-ion batteries. This is the fourth major investment in the Stockholm Region in the last six months, creating another 300 to 400 jobs in Västerås.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) continues to invest heavily in the Stockholm region. Just a few days after AWS announced they opened their cloud region in Stockholm, it is confirmed that the cloud service giant buys more land in Katrineholm and Eskilstuna to build additional data centers.

Business leaders and entrepreneurs have become more satisfied with public services in the Stockholm region, a new survey has revealed. The customer satisfaction index (NKI), increased by one point to 67 (out of a maximum 100) this year compared to the last survey in 2009, and by four points compared with 2007.
