Åke Lindström appointed new Marketing Director for Kista Science City AB

Åke is already a well-known Stockholm profile, deeply rooted in the transport industry thanks to his more than 15 years at Stockholms Lokaltrafik, SL (the Stockholm Public transport).

SL were early birds when it comes to intelligent digital services for their passengers - including popular web services and the travel planner - two projects Åke started in 1997, and then continued to develop and be in charge of.

Marketing and project management for various local, but also international
target groups has been the main objective in all the various projects Åke  has driven,  one of them being  SL's focus on intelligent transport systems (ITS), which culminated in the ITS World Congress held at Stockholm International Fairs in September 2009.

Privately Åke Lindström is something of a music fanatic - one of his favourite hobbies is to drive one or the other of his two children to music practise. Åke is married since many years and lives in Nyköping, but has previously resided six years in Ärvinge in Kista Science City.

As marketing director at Kista Science City AB, Åke will be in charge of a number of important projects and activities, currently including Kista's participation in the World Expo in Shanghai in 2010, and also a number of European projects, including connection to innovative development regions around the Baltic Sea.

- I love Kista, Åke says. It feels incredible to be back here - for the
third time actually - and be fortunate enough to work with many important issues for growth. It’s also challenging to be a part of the marketing of
Kista Science City, which internationally has an extremely high
status as being world leading on innovation and knowledge within the field of IT and telecom. I feel it is  a very relevant mission, he concludes.
