Antenna Specialists CellMax Technologies Nominated for Swedish Mobile Company of the Year Award

CellMax Technologies has been nominated as “Mobile Company of the Year” in Sweden for its revolutionary range of ultra-high efficiency base station antennas for mobile networks.

The award will be handed out to the Swedish mobile company of the year in late November, as part of the annual Swedish telecom/mobile industry gala Guldmobilen (“The Golden Mobile”), recognizing Sweden’s leading innovators and best mobile companies in 2012. Previous winners include Ericsson and Spotify.

CellMax Technologies has been nominated for its advanced ultra-high efficiency antennas for the global telecommunications market. CellMax antennas feature an innovative design that gives users - the world's mobile operators - a higher signal strength, better coverage and increased traffic - with the same energy consumption as traditional antennas.

“We are happily surprised that the mobile industry acknowledges a maybe not-so-glamorous product as antennas. But we have proved that using the right base station antennas can dramatically improve network traffic, and reduce the costs for handling the ever-increasing data traffic in the world’s mobile networks,” said Einar Ahlström, CEO, CellMac Technologies.

The nomination for Swedish mobile company of the year is the latest in a string of industry awards and nominations that CellMax Technologies has received recently; earlier this year the company was nominated for an LTE Award recognising achievements made by companies in the LTE industry. CellMax was also nominated for the Swedish Export Award as one of the most successful Swedish export companies of the past few years. The company has been included in the De Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA for three years in a row as one of Europe’s fastest growing technology companies.

In June this year, Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf opened CellMax Technologies’ new state of the art indoor antenna laboratory, measuring range and research facility in Sweden, considered one of the most modern in the world.

About CellMax Technologies:

CellMax Technologies develops and markets ultra-high efficiency base station antennas for mobile networks. CellMax’s revolutionary antenna technology reduces the power losses within the antenna to close to zero, resulting in higher signal strength and a dramatic increase in geographical area coverage, improved indoor penetration, increased net traffic, improved data throughput and reduced production costs per call.

CellMax’s unique and patented antenna design is based on quasi waveguide technology with air as dielectric, which virtually eliminates power losses; Traditional antennas lose 20-60 percent power through the cables. With CellMax’s antennas, mobile operators can reduce the power consumption in their radio networks by up to 30 percent – or use the same amount of power to improve network performance.

Consumers benefit from a dramatic improvement of indoor coverage, radically improved data speed and capacity, fewer dropped calls, a significant improvement of battery power consumption in the handsets, etc.

CellMax’s customers include several of the world’s largest mobile operators and manufacturers of telecom equipment (e.g. T-Mobile, Huawei, Hutchison, NSN, and ZTE). CellMax antennas have been deployed all over the world and are in use on all six inhabited continents in the world. CellMax was founded in 2001 and has headquarters in Sweden with subsidiaries in the USA and Singapore. See http://www.cellmax.se.
