Awal Hotel, a 4-star boutique hotel located in the heart of Tripoli’s business district and catering for the needs of individual business travellers and delegations, was among the Libyan and Tunisian companies taking part in a one-day business event organised by The Malta Economic Update at Smart City, Malta.
The aim of the Malta-Tunisia-Libya B2B Networking Forum 2014 was to promote private enterprise and bring together all stakeholders of the Maltese business community that trade with Libya and Tunisia.
The Tunisian and Libyan Embassies in Malta also joined forces to help organise this initiative, which brings together The Economic Update’s business partners and interested entrepreneurs wanting to do business with Tunisia and Libya under one roof.
The event comprised a conference addressed by several keynote speakers, including Malta’s Minister for Tourism, Dr Edward Zammit Lewis, the Minister for Sustainable Development, Mr Leo Brincat, and the Chargé d’Affaires at the Libyan Embassy in Malta, Mr Huseen Benown. This was followed by a forum with open debate and networking activities among the participants.
The Awal Hotel’s stand drew significant attention among the attendees, including the aforementioned Ministers and the Malta Freeport CEO Mr Aaron Farrugia.
