Nautisk and Furuno announce strategic partnership in marine sector

Global maritime navigation expert Nautisk has announced a partnership with leading marine electronics firm Furuno Electronics.

Nautisk, the Norwegian digital navigation specialist, has developed innovative products including a digital document library with a niche in the commercial shipping sector. The products have a synergy with hardware and electronics solutions from Furuno, the Japan-based leader in marine electronics and navigation.

The two companies have entered a close working partnership to distribute Nautisk products and develop collaborative tools aimed at enhancing shipping operations and management.

Nautisk’s CEO Thomas Fjeld, said: “This is an exciting partnership for Nautisk. We have been innovating in the development of our digital navigation portfolio to create products that save time and money on the bridge, reducing carbon footprint and enhancing security. The partnership with Furuno will not only enable us to broaden the global marketing potential of our products, but allow us to explore a number of collaborative initiatives.”

Initially the arrangement will see Nautisk’s digital product portfolio made available through a network of 250 key Furuno agents worldwide.
