Nautisk announces strategic leasing partnership for Dual ECDIS and ENC coverage

A new leasing initiative is giving shipping companies access to a cost-effective dual ECDIS and ENC operational chart solution that meets the SOLAS ECDIS regulations.

Global maritime navigation expert Nautisk has announced a new partnership with SRH International Ltd to offer the innovative leasing option to achieve compliant digital bridge operations quickly and at a low monthly cost.

The package consists of the market-leading Dual ECDIS from Danelec Marine, with Nautisk’s own global ENCs featuring inclusive access to their complete digital charts portfolio. The combination of Nautisk’s expertise in back of bridge navigation solutions with the exclusive software development capability from Danelec Marine is unique in the shipping industry.

John Dawson, manager of partner relations at Nautisk, said: “We are pleased to announce this partnership as it provides a new route for the industry to access market-leading digital navigation solutions efficiently and cost effectively. The flat fee from $23 per day makes predictive budgeting simple, and will make it more affordable for those shipping companies looking to meet SOLAS ECDIS implementation requirements.”

The Dual ECDIS is a dependable system featuring two monitors (19”, 24” or 27”),warranty coverage for the full leasing period with a global service network offering fixed installation costs. Included within the package is use of Nautisk Neptune, a real-time vessel information service designed to streamline workflow and reduce workload.

Steve Thomas, General Manager of SRH International Ltd said: “The system operates Danelec Marine’s own exclusive SWAP technology, which is user friendly and enables fast and easy replacement of equipment. This ensures uptime is maximized to keep ships on schedule without having to reinstall software or reconfiguring the system.

“Complemented by a global service network and a variety of training options including CBT, the leasing package provides a quick solution to what has previously been a laborious, time-intensive procurement process and an expensive capital purchase.”

John Dawson, Nautisk added: “This partnership demonstrates our growing effectiveness throughout all bridge operations and our dedication to developing flexible and effective solutions that will benefit the digital navigation capabilities of today’s shipping industry.”
