China back on nuclear path after Fukushima disaster

The Chinese government has issued a new study on energy conservation which says normal nuclear power construction is set to resume despite the Japan disaster early last year.

The white paper suggests the government is preparing a new energy-saving production and consumption system to try to accelerate the development of an energy-saving society.

"As a country with a large population but relatively insufficient resources, China must take the path of energy conservation," says the paper released by the Information Office of the State Council.
