Chinese astronauts ready for Shenzhou 10 launch

Three Chinese astronauts are set to embark on China's longest manned space mission later today.

The astronauts are set to launch on a Long March 2F rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 17:38 Beijing time (09:38 GMT) on Tuesday, with the weather being fine.

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived at the launch center in northwest China on Tuesday to meet the astronauts and observe the mission.

The crew for the Shenzhou-10 mission, Nie Haisheng (聂海胜), Zhang Xiaoguang (张晓光) and female Wang Yaping (王亚平), met the press on Monday
