iPhone 5 hits Chinese market

“I like the new iPhone 5. It has faster response and it’s more convenient for use,” said 32 year old Zhu to gbtimes, after he became the first customer to purchase the iPhone 5 when it was released at midnight between December 13 and 14.

Zhu had been among the couple of hundred people who gathered at the Wangfujing Apple Store in Beijing for bragging rights.

The midnight release was a unique opportunity for Apple fans to be the first to get their hands on the new iPhone, as the sale of the iPhone 5 without a contract officially starts in Apple’s three local stores at 7am on Friday.
