Chinese President Xi Jinping has landed in California for informal summit talks with US President Barack Obama at a private estate.
Xi Jinping was greeted by local officials at Ontario International Airport in California on his arrival, ahead of the first meeting between Mr Xi and US President Barack Obama since Xi became China's President.
Chinese officials have said, somewhat vaguely, that Xi and Obama are expected to discuss domestic and foreign policies, as well as issues of pivotal importance and regional and international issues of common concern.
Xi called on both countries to take into account the fundamental interests of the two nations and the world and jointly pursue a path that is unprecedented and inspires future generations.
