Grant competition for Russian students to participate in Arctic Student Forum during Arctic Frontiers 2017

Russian Geographical Society and Akvaplan-niva has announced a competition among bachelor and master students at Russian universities to take part in the Arctic Student Forum during Arctic Frontiers 2017. This second Arctic Student Forum is one of several Arctic Frontiers programs for young in the Arctic. The 2017 Arctic Student Forum will be a combination of a 3-days intensive interdisciplinary course "Global Arctic" prior to the official opening of Arctic Frontiers, workshops on how to develop a scientific career, participation in the policy and science sessions at Arctic Frontiers as well as participation in social and cultural events during the conference. The forum will host 60 international students with an interest in the Arctic. 10 Russian students, winners of the special competition, will receive a grant from the Norwegian Barents Secretariat to cover their travel and participation in the forum.
