Kolbeinn Árnason CEO Fisheries Iceland to speak at Arctic Frontiers Business 2016

We are looking forward to Kolbeinn Árnason, CEO Fisheries Iceland, speaking at Arctic Frontiers Business 2016. Árnason has worked for Fisheries Iceland since 2013. Before this he worked as a lawyer in the Office of Justice and Police in the Icelandic Ministry of Justice (1997-1998), Director of the Office of International Affairs in the Icelandic Ministry of Fisheries (1999-2004) and was on Iceland’s Permanent Mission to the EU (2004-2006). He has also served as a lawyer in several law firms (Skolavordustigur 6b Lawfirm, LEGOS and Kaupthing Bank).

Árnason holds several board positions and has headed Icelandic delegation like Iceland’s delegation to various FAO meeting, NEAFC (North East Atlantic Fisheries Commission), NAFO (North West Atlantic Fisheries Organisation) and Iceland’s Accession negotiation to the EU. In addition, he was the Chairman of Iceland’s Negotiation Committee on Fisheries for the period 2009–2014.

Árnason has his education from the University of Iceland (Law Department), the University of Freiburg, University of Leuven and IESE Business School (University of Navarra).
