Liv Monica Stubholt to moderate Arctic Frontiers Business 2017

We are happy to announce that Liv Monica Stubholt, partner in law firm Selmer, is the moderator of Arctic Frontiers Business 2017. Stubholt has been involved in Arctic issues and been an active player in the Norwegian energy and aquaculture sectors for more than a decade, both as a business lawyer, as an industry executive and as a politician.

Stubholt was appointed Investment Director in Aker ASA from 2009-2012 and she has held top leadership positions in Kværner, Aker Seafoods and Aker Clean Carbon. She was deputy minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2005-2007 and deputy minister in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy from 2007-2009. In both positions she was assigned substantial responsibility with regard to Arctic and High North issues. She since continued to hold a strong profile with regard to the Arctic agenda, actively supporting players both in the private and public sectors on Arctic initiatives and business development.

Stubholt is on the board of Norsk Hydro ASA, VNG Norway AS, Broadnet AS, the German Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and she is the chairman of the Norwegian Russian Chamber of Commerce (representing Kværner ASA). She was also recently appointed chairman of the board of the Norwegian hydro- and wind power company Varanger Kraft AS.

Liv Monica Stubholt is also on the academic board for petroleum law at the University of Oslo and the board of Frithjof Nansens Institute and she was on the board for the international NGO "International Crisis Group" 2012-2014.

Stubholt holds a law degree from the University of Oslo and has additional educational background in EU law and European Free Trade law. Before being appointed a partner in the Law Firm Selmer, she worked as a partner in law firm BA-HR (2000-2005) and partner in law firm Hjort (2013-2015).

Arctic Frontiers 2017 is arranged 22 - 27 January in Tromsø, Norway.
