Nina Jensen from WWF Norway to speak at Arctic Frontiers Policy 2017

We are very happy to announce that the Secretary General of WWF Norway Nina Jensen will speak at Arctic Frontiers Policy 2017. Ms Jensen has her educational background from marine biology from James Cook University in Australia and UiT The Arctic University of Norway. Before joining WWF she worked as a project coordinator for the advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather. She started her career in WWF as a volunteer in 2003. From 2005 she was appointed as advisor for the marine department and in the period 2009-2012 she served as the Director for the Conservation Department. Ms Jensen started in the position as Secretary General for the organisation in 2012.  

As Secretary General Ms Jensen a prolific social commentator, as early advocated that the Pension Fund should pull out of coal and instead invest in renewable energy. She is also an advocate for a more sustainable management of the Norwegian seas, and has fronted WWF's long-standing work for a separate Norwegian climate bill.

Ms Jensen is a member of the Norwegian environmental and solidarity organisation “Future in our hands” and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.

The dates for Arctic Frontiers 2017 are 22 - 27 January.
